COMERCOLLY, a flourishing town of Bengal, in the district of Rajshy. It is situated on the eastern bank of the Nouganga, which is open at all seasons of the year; and it is in consequence a great mart of the commerce which is carried on between the north-west provinces and Calcutta. The East India Company have here a commercial factory for the purchase of cotton and silk goods. It is 64 miles south-east from Moorshedabad. Long. 89. 11. E. Lat. 23. 52. N.
