CORIO, BERNARDINO, an historian, born of an illustrious family at Milan, in the year 1459. He was secretary of state to that duchy; and Ludovico, duke of Sforza, employed him to write the history of Milan. He died in 1519. The best edition of his history is that of Milan, 1503, folio. It is printed in Italian, and is very scarce. He wrote, besides, Vitæ Casarum, and Utile Dialogo Anon., a poem.
