MINDORO ISLE, one of the Philippine Isles, a hundred and ten miles in length, by about twenty-five in average breadth, and situated due south from the southwest extremity of the island of Lucos. The interior is mountainous, but sloping towards the sea-coast; the whole covered with trees, and making a beautiful appearance from the sea-coast. The island is well inhabited, though the Spaniards have a few establishments there. Long. 120. 24. to 121. 24. E. Lat. 12. 21. to 13. 30. N.
