MYCONDAH, a town of Hindustan, in the territories
of the rajah of Mysore. It is of some importance, as it is
placed at the entrance of a pass from the north-westward
into the valley of Chitteldroog, which it is intended to de-
fend. It is 138 miles N. N. W. from Seringapatam. Long.
