NABLUM, in Hebrew Nebel, was an instrument of music amongst the Jews. It had strings like the harp, was played upon by both hands, and in form resembled that of a Greek A. In the Septuagint and Vulgate it is called noblum, psalterion, lyra, and sometimes cithara.
