NARCONDAM, a small uninhabited island in the Bay of Bengal, but so high that its peak may be seen at a great distance, and, in fact, serves as a land-mark. It is twenty-seven leagues to the eastward of the Great Andaman, and is covered with wood. Long. 94. 12. E. Lat. 13. 25. N.
