NARYM, the chief town of a district of the same name in Asiatic Russia, traversed by the small river Narymka. It is situated on the Obi, near its confluence with the Ket. It was originally a simple ostrog or palisaded fort, but now contains a church and 100 inhabitants. It is 200 miles north of Tomsk. Lat. 59. 13. N.
