WNAAD, a district of Hindustan, province of Malabar, situated between the 11th and 12th degrees of north latitude, and comprehending an area of 1250 square miles. It is mountainous, and overrun with wood. It is now included in the Malabar collectorship. Its immediate ruler is a native chieftain, now tributary to the British.
