SUMBOONHAUT, a town and temple in the Ghoorkha country, in Nepal. It is celebrated for a temple containing from time immemorial the sacred fire, and is annually resorted to by innumerable pilgrims from Bootan and Thibet, and is a source of considerable revenue to the Nepal government.
