BRENNAGE, BRENNAGIUM, in the Middle Ages, a tribute or composition which tenants paid to their lord in lieu of bran, which they were obliged to furnish for his hounds. It is also written brenage, brenagium, and brennige, brenagium, brenaticum, and brennaticum.
