BROCKEN, or BROCKSHORN, a mountain of Prussia, the highest point of the Hartz mountains, is in Lat. 51. 51. N. Long. 10. 39. E. It is 3740 feet in height, and is remarkable for the singular optical phenomenon called the "Spectre of the Brocken."
