DIVALIA, in Antiquity, a festival celebrated by the Romans on the 21st of December, in honour of the goddess Angerona; whence it was called Angeronalia. On this day the pontifices performed sacrifices in the temple of Volupta, the goddess of pleasure, who, according to some, was the same as Angerona.
