DOLLAR, a village of Scotland, county of Clackmannan, 11 miles N.E. of Stirling; only worthy of notice for its academy, endowed by a Mr M'Nab, a native of the place, who left nearly £80,000 for that purpose. The academy is an elegant Grecian structure, founded in 1819.
