EISENBERG, or EISENBERG, a town of Germany, duchy of Saxe-Altenburg, and 20 miles W. of Altenburg. It stands on a height not far from the Saale, is surrounded by walls, and has a castle with an observatory, a town-hall, and hospital. Manufactures—porcelain, ribbons, &c. Pop. 4800.
