PÖSSNECK, a walled town of Saxe-Meiningen, Hildburghausen, in the principality of Saalfeld, on the Kerschau, 11 miles E.N.E. of Saalfeld. It is an active manufacturing town, producing cloth, leather and porcelain. Pop. 4200.
