PRIVITZ, or PRIVIDIA, a town of Hungary, in the county of Lower Neutra and government of Pressburg, 23 miles W.N.W. of Neusohl. It has a church, Piarist college, grammar school, and manufactures of cloth. There is some trade in corn. Pop. 4730.
