CYDNUS, in Ancient Geography, a small river of Cilicia, in Asia Minor, noted for the clearness and coldness of its waters. It rises in the range of Taurus, near the Pylæ of Cilicia; and, after a short course in a southerly direction, falls into the sea near the mouth of the Sarus. See CILICIA.
