CLOGHER, a decayed episcopal city, and formerly a parliamentary borough of Ireland, county of Tyrone, 15 miles S.S.E. of Omagh, and 98 from Dublin. Besides its cathedral, a plain cruciform building, it has an episcopal palace, free school, bridewell, workhouse, and savings-bank. Pop. (1851) 558, exclusive of 442 in workhouse.
