COMAYAGUA, formerly VALLADOLID LA NUEVA, a city of Central America, capital of the state of Honduras, and of a department of its own name. It is the seat of a bishop, and has a cathedral, college, ecclesiastical seminary, and about 20,000 inhabitants.
