FURNES, a town of Belgium, province of W. Flanders.
Furruckabad—26 miles W.S.W. of Bruges, on the canal from Bruges to Dunkirk, not far from the North Sea. It has a brisk trade in corn, cattle, butter, and cheese; and contains (1851) 4766 inhabitants.
