GIBRALEON, anciently Ossanoba, a secular town of Spain, in the modern province of Huelva, in Andalusia, on the left bank of the Odiel, here navigable, and 7 miles from the town Huelva. It is rather well built, and contains two churches, a town-house, a public school, a nunnery, and the buildings of two monasteries; and it has also the remains of two forts. Gibraleon has an annual fair, and carries on some trade in fruit, wool, corn, and wine. Pop. (1855) about 4000.
