AINTAB, a large garrison town on the northern frontier of Syria, in the pashalik of Aleppo. Lat. 36. 58. N. Long. 37. 13. E., 65 miles north of Aleppo, 50 miles E. of Scanderon, and 30 miles west of Bir on the Euphrates. Pop. 25,000 to 30,000.
