NURTINGEN, a town of Württemberg, circle of Schwarzwald, on the Neckar, 14 miles S.E. of Stuttgart. It contains an old castle, a church, a rich hospital founded in 1480, and several schools. There are also cotton factories, dye-works, and manufactories of musical instruments. Pop. 4550.
