OGAÑA, a town of New Granada, capital of a province of the same name in the department of Guanentá, on the Oro, 60 miles N.W. of Pamplona. It stands among the Andes; and there are copper mines in the vicinity. Some trade is carried on by the River Oro and the Canaverales, into which it falls. Pop. of town, 5500; of province, 23,450.
