FLAMINIUS, T. Quintus (B.C. 230-174), an illustrious general of the Roman republic. He distinguished himself chiefly in the wars between Rome and Greece, in the course of which he gained the celebrated victory of Cynoscephalæ over the Macedonians, B.C. 197.
