SAN FELIPE, a town of Venezuela, in the depart-
ment of Caraccas, near the left bank of the Yurucuy, 60 San Felipe miles W.N.W. of Valencia. It is well built, but lies in a low, unhealthy region, liable to inundations. Coffee, cacao, and rice are produced here, and there is an active trade. Pop. 7000.
