SCHEEVENINGEN, a fishing town and watering-place of Holland, in the province of South Holland, on the German Ocean, 2 miles N.W. of the Hague. It contains a royal pavilion, Protestant and Roman Catholic churches, several schools and hospitals, and bathing establishments. Pop. 5600, chiefly employed in fishing.
