SPASK, a town of European Russia, in the government and 30 miles E.S.E. of Riazan, on a lake of the same name, which communicates with the Oka. Here are several churches, a school, and many public and private gardens. Many of the inhabitants are employed in cotton factories, and also in the navigation of barges on the Oka. Pop. 4433.
