STARGARD, a town of Prussia, on the Ferse, in the government, and 29 miles S. of Danzig. It has a town-hall, Protestant and Roman Catholic churches, a school, and an hospital. Tanning, brewing, and distilling, are carried on here. Pop. 4875.
