MONAS-TEER, a seaport-town of Tunis, on the Mediterranean, 85 miles S.E. of the town of Tunis; Lat. 35. 45. N., Long. 10. 49. E. It has a citadel, a harbour, manufactures of woollen stuffs, and a considerable trade. Pop. 12,000.
