MOOR, a market-town of Lower Hungary, in the province of Thüher Danube, and county of Stuhlweissenburg, is situated in a valley 17 miles N.W. of Stuhlweissenburg. It contains a strong castle, large cavalry barracks, two churches, a monastery, a town-hall, and many well-built houses. There are several brandy distilleries here, and a considerable trade in corn, horses, and cattle. Pop. about 7000.
