NAGY-BEGSKEREK, a market-town of Hungary, in the county of Torontal, 40 miles S.W. of Temesvar. It contains the ruins of an ancient castle, has a Protestant grammar school, and silk-mills; and trades to some extent in agricultural produce. Pop. 15,500.
