ANSTRUTHER, EASTER, a royal burgh and parish of Scotland, in the county of Fife, on the north shore of the
Ant. Anstruther Firth of Forth. It possesses an excellent harbour. Population of burgh in 1851, 1161. Ten miles south of St Andrews. Dr Chalmers was a native of this place.
