AUGUSTALES, in Roman Antiquity, an epithet given to the flamens or priests appointed to sacrifice to Augustus after his deification. The ludi, or games, celebrated in honour of the same prince on the 4th day before the ides of October, were also called Augustales, or Augustalia.
