BLABY, a parish and village in Leicestershire, hundred of Guthlaxton. The village, 4\frac{1}{2} miles S.W. of Leicester, contains a fine old parish church, a Wesleyan and a Baptist chapel, and a handsome national school. It is near the line of the Midland railway. Pop. of parish in 1851, 1552, chiefly engaged as framework-knitters and glove-makers.
