BLOEMART, ABRAHAM, a Dutch historical painter, born at Gorkum in 1567, who also painted landscapes with good effect, and etched with considerable skill. He died in 1647. His son Cornelius was an eminent engraver, and remarkable for the softness and purity of his burin.
