BLOW-PIPE, a straight metal tube used by anatomists for inflating with the breath the collapsed vessels of the dead subject in order to ascertain their course. This tube is of an elongated conical form, six inches in length; the aperture of the large end being ths of an inch in diameter, and that of the smaller end the size of a needle's point.
