BOECE, or BOETHIUS, HECTOR. See BOYCE, HECTOR.

BOEDROMIA (Βοήδρῳμια), a festival celebrated at Athens in memory of the succour brought by Ion to the Athenians, when invaded by Eumolpus in the reign of Erechtheus. Various accounts of its origin are given. Plutarch (Thes. 27) says that it was held in commemoration of the victory obtained by Theseus over the Amazons, in the month of Boëdromion, which was the third month of the Athenian year, corresponding to our September.
