BARDSEY, a small island on the Welsh coast, at the northern extremity of Cardigan Bay. It is miles long by 1 in breadth, with an area of about 370 acres, of which one-third is hilly. The island produces barley and oats. Pop. 90. Its only harbour is on the S.E. side, and admits vessels of 40 tons. The lighthouse has a fixed light 129 feet above high water, in Lat. 52. 45. N. Long. 4. 47. W.
