ATTACOTTI, an ancient people of Britain, mentioned by Ammianus Marcellinus and St. Jerome, as well as in the Notitia Imperii. They were allies of the Scots and Picts, and inhabited the west coast of Scotland, but their precise boundaries have not been determined.
