BEAUMONT, SIR GEORGE HOWLAND, the seventh baronet of a family in Leicestershire, was a distinguished amateur of the fine arts, and an excellent landscape painter. He was a munificent contributor to the National Gallery, and to that of Dulwich. He was born in 1753, and died in 1827.
