IRAK-ARABI (the ancient Babylonia), a district of Asiatic Turkey, pashalic of Baghdad, lying mostly between the courses of the Euphrates and Tigris, S.E. of Baghdad. It contains the ruins of Babylon, Selucia, and several other cities.
