MARYSVILLE, a post-town, capital of the county of
Yuba, in the state of California, North America, is situated
on the right bank of the River Yuba, about a mile above its
confluence with the Feather River, and 100 miles N.N.E. of
Benicia. Steamers ply regularly between Marysville and
San Francisco, touching at Sacramento. Pop. (1853) 8000.
