PETIT-CANAL, a town of the island of Guadeloupe, on a bay of the same name on the W. coast, about 9 miles N.E. of St. Louis. Sugar is exported in great quantities; and in the surrounding country large herds of cattle are fed. A large proportion of the inhabitants are slaves. Pop. 7600.
