VIVERO, a town of Spain, Galicia, province and 45 miles N. of the town of Lugo, near the mouth of the Ladrava. It is generally neat and well built, and has several churches, convents, and hospitals; a theatre, and a public seminary. It has manufactures of linens, leather, and earthenware, and carries on some trade. Pop. about 4000.
