LAMMERMOOR HILLS, a range of hills stretching from the S.E. extremity of Edinburghshire, through the counties of Haddington and Berwick, and terminating in the cliffs round St Abb's Head. The principal summits attain an elevation of nearly 1600 feet. The upland districts are used for pasturing sheep, but the cultivated tracts ascend pretty high along the lower slopes.
