JONKÖPING, the capital of the above laen, is situated at the southern extremity of Lake Wetter, 80 miles E. of Göttenborg. It is generally well built, with wide and regular streets; and has a handsome church, a guildhall, arsenal, theatre, and grammar school. Chief manufactures, woolen and linen goods, leather, and tobacco. Pop. 4742.
