ADDITION of ratios, a term sometimes used for composition of ratios.

in music, a dot marked on the right side of a note, signifying that it is to be founded or lengthened half as much more as it would have been without such mark.

in law, is that title or designation which is given to a man, over and above his proper name and surname, to shew of what estate, degree, occupation, or place he is.

in distillery, a general name given to such things as are added to the wash or liquor while fermenting, to increase the vinosity and quantity of the spirit, or give it a particular relish.
