ANCHORED

Volume 1 · 49 words · 1771 Edition

or Ankered, is said of a crofs, the four extremities of which resemble the flukes of an anchor.

The crofs resembles very much the crofs-moline; the whole difference between them consisting only in this, that the anchored crofs is somewhat sharper at the points than the moline. See Moline.
