a genus of the triandria monogyne clas. The calyx is tubular, irregular, and bent back; the capsule is below the flower. There are four species of the antholyza, viz. the ringens, a native of Ethiopia; the cunonia, a native of Persia; the ethiopia, a native of Ethiopia; and the meriana, a native of the Cape of Good-Hope.
